Mad Manoush is going Electro Swing by releasing the new Album "Train to New Orleans".

After the last crossover CD "Gypsy R-Evolution", ranking in the Top 10 of Worldmusic Charts, the band finally went back to their roots. Fresh Female Vocals, Django Reinhard - Beats and hot swing rhythms in the style of the Roaring Twenties and Thirties flock together with a pinch of Jazz and cool contemporary grooves.

An explosive mix of flashing hooks that will let you burn the floor.

Egon Egemann, Mad Manoush’s inventor, violinist and frontman was born near Graz with the roots of a hungarian, gypsy grandfather. In his early years he was already influenced by the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli whom he met personally in New York during his stay in US in the seventies. A few years later Egon got under the spell of New Yorks Gypsy Punk Scene where he found the main inspiration for his creative way to Mad Manoush.

In spring 2004 Egon attends the Django memorial in Augsburg, Germany and meets Gypsy-jazz icon Robin Nolan. Thrilled by Egons revolutionary idea of a mix between original Gypsy Jazz combined with modern components, Robin spontanously decides to engage the project. The result of the two “borderliner musicians” work is the song “Django” which is also realized as a videoclip.

Mad Manoush is born! A new, exciting style of music, that creates a fresh, spicy taste in the scene of world music – performed on stage in a high energy show.

The release of the second album "The Gypsy R-Evolution" effects a wide airplay presence in many radiostations and another top 10 entry in the European Worldmusic Charts. Songs like "Not wearing diamonds", "Walk on fire" and "Banana Republic" are also produced as videoclips.

Mad Manoush is touring through Europe in several countries like Germany, Tchech Republic, Greece, Belgium, France, Austria, Netherlands and Switzerland. They 've been playing on big festivals like St. Gallen Openair CH, Heitere Open Air CH, Rock O'z arenes CH, Montreux JazzFestival CH, Cosmopolitan Festival GR, United Islands Festival CZ, Lowland Festival NL, Oerol Festival NL, Zwarte Cross NL , Festival Rabat Africa etc.
